2005 marks the third year of this annual event, held in Cupertino (CA). The mission of the Lunar New Year Unity Parade is to bring the community's broad spectrum of cultures together while celebrating the Lunar New Year. The theme for 2005 again focused on celebrating unity within the community. The dominant visual created for this year's event collateral was a unity tree. The unity tree is comprised of tree branches that are made up of outstretched hands stemming from a common trunk. The hands are reaching upward, towards the sky, as a single white dove takes flight from the outstretched hands÷ representing hope. All hands of the community are working together to release this symbol of hope.
